I’m Taran Fisher. I’ve loved shoes for as long as I can remember.

I have a picture of me at age 2 in nothing but a diaper and my mom’s red ‘circa 1979′ platform wedges.

I remember vividly the hot pink Converse All-Stars I bought with my allowance in 7th grade.

More recently—in my twenties—I developed a habit of buying new shoes before a hot date (“Could he be The One?”)

Well, I haven’t met Mr. Right yet … but I do have quite a collection of fabulous shoes! (That’s my kind of consolation prize!)

What I’m getting at is this: My first love—shoes—has been a constant in my life.

All this time, though, there has always been a close second. Astrology. I’ve been a horoscope addict for a long time, even getting into doing personalized “readings” for friends of mine in high school, college, and as a 20-something single.

I like paying attention to how the sun, moon and planets are moving in the sky and then thinking, “What does it all mean?” Can the stars really guide you to a pair of shoes that will help you impress the boss land that big promotion? Will the planets align and actually tell you that the right red sling-backs are going to get you noticed by that hottie two seats down at the wine bar?

Hmmm, I can’t say for sure … but it’s fun to think about …

Shoe Zodiac is just a natural “next step.” What other blog could I possibly sign my name to? It had to be shoes. It had to be the zodiac. Voila! ShoeZodiac.com.

The only thing I wonder about now is … with all my time spent blogging, will I ever find Mr. Right?
